Who We Are

Grandmaster Ed MacLucas is the owner and senior instructor. He is a retired special education teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience, 38 years of Tae Kwon Do experience and has run the only martial arts studio in Jonesborough for 27 years. We are a proud contributor to The River, Operation Second Tour and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

What is Tae Kwon Do?

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that means the way of the hand and foot. It uses powerful strikes, blocks and kicks as a means of self discipline, spiritual growth, physical conditioning and self defense. Tae Kwon Do develops the mind, body and spirit as well as encourages a balance of knowledge, strength and honesty.

What is Hapkido?

Hapkido is a Korean martial art tha translates as the art of coordinated power. Hapkido emphasizes joint locknig techniques to control or disable an attacker. It also includes the use of striking, kicking and pressure points in its arsenal of self defense techniques.
